Our Story

We’ve been in your shoes.

Silicon Valley careers. Parenting through college applications. A shared belief that excellent support should be accessible.

Why we started After Three Learning

Working families face real demands on their time and budgets. We know those demands from years in software engineering, product leadership, and finance leadership. We also understand the pressure students face.

After Three Learning exists to make high-quality test preparation, academic help, enrichment, and college guidance available at a reasonable price—without preying on parents’ fears.

CO-FOUNDER · CEO

Sue Raisty

Sue attended MIT in computer science and earned her MBA at Northwestern. Her career spans software engineering and product leadership.

Sue is the parent of a college junior studying at Emerson College’s top-rated film school. Her youngest is a junior at Los Gatos High School.

She volunteered for several years as an MIT alumni interviewer. This was a volunteer role, separate from employment in an admissions office.

CO-FOUNDER · COO / CFO

Marie Laurence Stopford

Marie earned her MBA at London Business School and recently earned an MA in Education and Psychology at Pepperdine. She brings experience in finance leadership.

Marie’s son is a college junior at Arizona State University’s business school. Her daughter is a high school junior who has already begun the athletic recruiting process with elite Division I universities.

She brings a parent’s firsthand experience navigating athletic recruitment, including coach outreach and arranging campus visits.

Experience that informs our guidance

Both founders have recently supported their children through college admissions. Our family experience includes BFA applications with substantial portfolio requirements. We understand how much coordination these paths can require—and why it helps to start early.
